Buying this large size seems excessive for one cockatiel, but I have a rolling storage bin (also available here at Amazon) and empty it into there. Keeps it free from moths and is easy to dish out. Ingredients: Ground corn, Soybean meal,Ground wheat, Vegetable oil, Wheat gern meal, Sucrose, Dicalcium phosphate, Calcuim carbonate, Ground fruit, Iodzied salt, Natural and artificial colors, and Artificial flavors.

It does say natural flavors on the package. But, you should know that there is a multitude of artificial coloring. I’d love to feed something that doesn’t have the coloring, but my bird doesn’t seem to like the naturally colored pellets.

“Cockatiel owners are better off with smaller sized pellets”

Zupreem is an outstanding maker of bird food and my two cockatiels enjoy it. However, for cockatiel owners you are much better off with the same product but that is made for finches and parakeets.

“Zupreem Cockatiel”

My cockatiel has been on this food for the past 6 years, and loves it! The vet is always amazed at how good she looks (she also gets a seed mixture and sprouted seeds as well). My second cockatiel took awhile to convert, but now she too eats the zupreem.

There are of course those cockatiels that prefer Kaytee, which is a similar product to look at.

“Exact Cockatiel food”Item just as described. Better than using seeds, less waste. Order came really fast. Pleasantly suprised, would order again when needed.

“All 6 Cockatiels Love It!”They love this product! I sometimes mixed it up with Lefebers pellet diet but they prefer Kaytee exact. Its not as messy as the round pellets as those break apart and fly across the room. They are always excited for a new dish of it every morning!
