Why I Love Cockatiels Cockatiels make the most wonderful pets. Don’t let their size fool you, because they have oodles of charm and character once you get to know them. My own cockatiel is an addict for head scratches – he just can’t get enough. I think this goes to say with most cockatiels, and II wish there was a gadget that I could buy that could do this for him when I can’t, because he will honestly just sit all day with his head cocked forward waiting for more. Here are a couple of cute cockatiel video’s that people post online of their pets. On this site, which I have been building over the past few years, I have tried to explore all aspects of cockatiels and keeping cockatiels as pets. If you need to find out anything about cockatiels, this is the site that you should find it. Here are some cute video’s I found on the internet that show just what characters cockatiels can be. I think that the only thing that may annoy people is the ear piecing screech that cockatiels do. This normally happens in the mornings and early evenings, or when they are upset suddenly. So if you don’t like noisy birds, then you may prefer a budgie as a pet, who loves to constantly chatter, but more softly than a cockatiel. Remember that the more time you spend with your pet cockatiel, the more he will develop and he will eventually get to love and trust you so much that he will feel like an extended member of the family. Cockatiels are very social birds, and love attention, so don’t be afraid to give it to them. We always have had pets in our family. Dogs, cats, hamsters, fishes, you name it! But never any kind of bird. All tho I have thought about it more than once. But even though I love pets and animals, it always somewhat scared me to get cockatiel for example. I always thought they would be hard to take care of. Your post somewhat erased that thought. Reply Hi Michel, Cockatiels are really beautiful and I float with love when they become around me in the park or even in the backyard. They do have an annoying sound, and my youngest daughter always runs behind them when they start being noisy. But having them as pet, will be another story and you can develop a deep and close relationship between you and the cockatiels. What do you do if you intend to travel? When I travel, I always get my step daughter or my best friend to babysit my birds. I simply take the cages to their homes, so it is easy. Reply Cockatiels are truly amazing and beautiful birds. I had about 16 in different cages for my children when they growing up for them to learn about the different animals. The one thing I liked is that each Cockatiel is different with several colors. Although they at times could be loud, that got my husband’s nerves while watching TV. Reply And each cockatiel also has its own little personality.
